Social network designed for motorcycle racing fans
Van Zant Design have finished the re-design for The Biker Place’s social community site. Built on the popular and powerful Ning network Van Zant Design took the standard design template and edited the CSS and images to create a sleek looking theme for The Biker Place.
The Biker Place is a website specifically for motorcycle racers and fans of motorcycle racing with a main site dedicated to providing news and race reports from many race series across the globe.
They wanted to add a community function that had a little more than the average forum, so we set up a social network on the Ning platform and began customising the look and feel of the site to better reflect the content.
The site is set up very much like Facebook or Bebo in that users get their own profile page that is fully customizable, they can connect with other users by sending messages or friend requests, post photos or movies, and participate in the discussion forum.
This addition has made The Biker Place a much more community focused site and has contributed heavily to the amount of repeat visitors the site gets on a daily basis.
